Eli Fox is a 2016 C/2B with a 5-9 185 lb. frame from Gillespie, IL who attends Gillespie HS. Thick strong build. Arm works very well behind the plate with a quick release and accurate throws, 2.00 best pop time, will need to tone and strengthen lower half to improve shifting and blocking skills, has some ability at third base defensively as well. Right handed hitter, big leg raise trigger, swings hard with some back side collapse, power approach, has good bat speed and the ball comes off his barrel hard, pulls and lifts and has gap power, has hitting tools when his timing is on target. Good student.
