Beall is a 5-10, 160 lb switch-hitting, left handed throwing junior outfielder from Virginia. He's a rare left handed thrower who is also a switch-hitter. Beall is a good defensive outfielder who combines good running speed with strong throwing arm. He ran 7.13 and threw 83 mph during drills. Beall showed a smooth left handed swing at the plate from the left side from an open stance. His swing from the right side had a good line drive plane but not as much bat speed. Beall had some good game swings and hit the ball consistently hard against live pitching. He looks like he has advanced skills with the bat head and is probably a high average hitter. Beall also took the mound and his arm strength didn't fully transfer, as he topped out at 77 mph with a 63 mph curveball. Beall is a good young player with a nice collection of tools and skills who should get better as he gets stronger.
