Andres Boitel is a 2014 OF with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Bayamon, PR who attends PR Baseball Academy. Strong well proportioned athletic build. Right handed hitter, high hand start with early separation, swings hard and has very good raw bat speed, power approach and doesn't get cheated, good loose extension out front, has some lift and uppercut in his swing, nice power potential. 6.76 runner, aggressive actions in the outfield, charges hard, shows good arm strength. Plays a bit out of control at present but has nice tools and is aggressive in all aspects of the game. Named to the Caribbean Showcase Top Prospect team.
