Cameron Melcher is a 2016 C/OF with a 6-1 205 lb. frame from Kerrville, TX who attends Tivy HS. Large, strong-bodied build with present strength and muscle. Left handed hitter, starts with wide base and slight crouch, quiet hand load, can drift into contact. Strength plays in swing when on time and using the barrel, flashes hard line drive contact to the pullside. Solid receiving skills behind the plate, explodes out of crouch on throws. Solid transfer with long arm-action, shows good arm strength, projects well defensively. Excellent student.
