Sam Joyce is a 2016 2B/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Santa Fe, NM who attends IMG Academy. Joyce has a lean build with room to fill out, hits from a square stance, spread start, good balance and extension through ball. Under control with barrel. Mid to opposite field approach, makes consistent contact, defensively, feet work well with athletic actions. Plays with a lot of energy. Also pitched, long arm action to 3/4 slot. Low effort delivery with good extension to plate. Solid runner with 6.89 sixty. Outstanding student.
