Austin Wojick is a 2016 RHP/ with a 6-2 215 lb. frame from Duluth, GA who attends Peachtree Ridge. Large frame with excellent build and strength throughout body. Very good on the mound in this event, compact arm circle with no mechanical red flags, high three quarter slot release, good arm speed, repeats mechanics well. Fastball worked 86-89 MPH, good extension out front, has command to both sides of the plate with the fastball, attacks hitters with FB. Out pitch is a very sharp slider, tight spin with good break and snap. Keeps both FB and SL down in the zone, worked quickly and pounded the zone, got weak contact and swings-and-misses consistently. Named to 2016 Sunshine Southeast Showcase Top Prospect List. Very good student, signed with Chattahoochee Valley CC.
