Joshua Evans is a 2015 OF/RHP with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Venice, FL who attends Venice Senior. HS. Medium, athletic frame with long limbs and a well proportioned frame with present strength. Outstanding runner, posted a 6.62 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, shows quick feet and attacks the ball, short arm action coming through the back side, works through ball well and sows strength on throws. Also pitched, throws from a sidearm slot with a full arm action in the back. Opens front side early but shows a feel for three pitches and works down in the zone. Fastball topped at 70 mph, slider shows sweeping life and maintains arm speed on changeup with fade. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and a small leg trigger at top. Upper body swing, long path to the ball but shows ability to hit to all fields and flashes strength and lift to the opposite field. Projects well with incorporation of lower half. Gets out of the box and down the line well. Very good student.
