Hagan Samson is a 2016 3B/C with a 6-0 200 lb. frame from Ocala, FL who attends Forest HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength with a mature build. ran a 7.58 60-yard dash. Primary third baseman, field the ball out front, hands works well, short steps to the ball, stays tall at release, shows a full arm action with whip coming throw and carry across. Right-handed hitter, starts with a wide base and a medium hand set. Generates nice bat speed coming through the zone and shows a pull side approach in the box. Creates line drive contact to pull side, showing a nice ffel for the barrel with strength when squared. Projects well with incorporation of lower half into swing. Very good student.
