Brandyn Ward is a 2016 OF with a 6-4 221 lb. frame from Jupiter, FL who attends Jupiter HS. Very solid athletic build, plus present strength especially in the lower half. Right handed hitter, tall upright stance with a late dip before starting his swing, strides open, short inside swing path but at the cost of extension through contact, has quick hands and the strength to drive the ball, right centerfield contact, has the ability develop his power with some swing adjustments. 6.80 runner, moves very well for his size, has raw arm strength from a compact arm action, can lengthen stride and arm for even more arm strength. Interesting athlete due to his speed and strength, should keep improving with refined skills and more repetitions. Named to Top Prospect Team. Good student, signed with South Carolina Upstate.
