Andres Castro is a 2015 RHP with a 5-10 162 lb. frame from Catano, PR who attends International Baseball Academy. Medium athletic build with good lower half strength. High 3/4's arm slot, sound mechanics and direction to the plate, repeats his delivery well. Fastball topped out at 84 mph, gets good sinking action and life low in the zone, spots fastball very well and with intent. Curveball shows tight spin and good bite at times, also spots curveball well. Mature pitcher who can pitch up due to command. Signed with Florida Southwest.
