Jake Wapinsky is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 5-11 167 lb. frame from Blandon, PA who attends Fleetwood. Large frame, thin build with room to fill. Hits from a crouched stance, long fluid swing generates solid present bat speed and projects for further development, good extension through contact, pull oriented approach. Smooth arm stroke from the outfield, good extension to throws, arm projects well. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a long arm action, pitches downhill, good tailing action on two-seam fastball, threw strikes, kept ball down in strike zone effectively, 11-5 curveball, flashed straight changeup as well. Interesting young two-way player. Good student.
