Anthony Boix is a 2017 3B/OF, RHP with a 6-0 190 lb. frame from Hialeah, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace. Boix has broad shoulders with good strength. He has very good arm strength across the diamond up to 92 MPH with good carry on it. He has deliberate defensive actoins and uses a short arm action and throws from his ear. Biox has developing defensive actions and profiles well at 3B. At the plate, Biox starts with a wide base and a square stance. He uses a small stride into contact and dips his backside looking to lift the ball. He showed some strength in his swing and has some bat speed. He pitches from a 3/4 arm slot with an efforty release. He gets some late life on his fastball and loads up on his backside. Outstanding student.
