Ryan Masterson is a 2016 RHP/UT with a 6-0 185 lb. frame from Winter Springs, FL who attends Oviedo HS. Medium, athletic frame with broad shoulders and present strength on build. Ran a 7.71 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a loose and easy arm action coming through the back side. Stays tall on backside, front side opens early but still gets on top of ball and generates downhill plane on fastball. Topped out at 78 mph, mostly straight, and showed ability to locate to both sides. Curveball shows sweeping 10-4 life at 64 mph with nice depth. Shows range in the infield and moves well on feet, same loose arm action across with very good accuracy. Picks well at first base. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set tight to body. Upper body swing, shows fluidity in bat path with nice bat speed and extension out front. Gets long at times but generates lift at contact.
