Evan Kaplan is a 2015 RHP with a 6-6 180 lb. frame from Carlsbad, CA who attends La Costa Canyon. XL frame, tall lanky high waisted build with a room to fill. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a long long arm action. Quick arm, works downhill, low effort delivery with good extension out front. Very good balance and coordination for a pitcher of his size at his age and maintains body control well. Good changeup and has shown significant improvement with it over the past year with good fading action on it. Excellent student. Named to the Sunshine West Top Prospect Team.
