Jack Stamler is a 2017 LHP/1B with a 6-1 190 lb. frame from Greenville, SC who attends J L Mann. Stamler has a medium sized frame with a higher waist and some present strength. He pitches from a high 3/4 arm slot with a shorter arm action. Stamler uses a small leg lift and hip turn at balance point and uses drop and drive lower half mechanics down the mound. He uses a high gloveside which creates some deception and hides the ball pretty well. Stamler has some arm quickness and gets some extension out front. He throws a 1/7 curveball with some shape to it. It showed more sharpness and depth to it in his second inning of work. He also throws a straight change up at 71 MPH. Stemler has velocity that projects with upside. Very good student.
