Alex Salamanca is a 2014 MIF/ with a 5-8 140 lb. frame from South Hempstead, NY who attends Southside. Smaller, thin build with room to add significant strength. Ran an 8.04 60 yard dash. Bats right-handed, works from a balanced setup. Has to cut down on head movement and stay on his back leg. Has moving parts to his swing. Hits the ball well to the opposite field. Arm strength still developing across the infield and makes the backhand play consistently. Makes accurate throws. Very good student.
