Nicolas Fusco is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 6-1 175 lb. frame from North Miami, FL who attends Monsignor Edward Pace HS. Large frame with solid build throughout; body still projects very well moving forward. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.18 seconds. Primary pitcher, uses long arm very effectively on the mound. High leg lift into windup, high lead arm, stands tall on backside and coils hip slightly at balance point. Uncoils well and lands online, gets over front side well and stays balanced. Throws from extended three quarters slot, creating good angle to the plate. FB worked 80-85 MPH with cutting action, extends well at release. Showed both CB and SL, CB has 1/7 shape with quality depth; SL is a bit flatter but thrown harder with sharper break. Has good command of the strike zone with all pitches. Hits with leg lift trigger, inside-out swing path with strength. Has lift in swing, mostly line drives with some jump. Fields well in the OF and profiles well in RF, moves well, loose and easy arm action up to 86 MPH on throws. Excellent student.
