Matthew Fraizer is a 2016 OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Fresno, CA who attends Clovis North HS. Slender, athletic and well-proportioned build, plenty of room to fill out, projects very well physically. Good overall athleticism and footspeed, ran a 6.78 60-yard dash. Speed plays well in the outfield, moves well to the ball, fields out in front, shows ability to work through the ball with small crow hop. Clean arm stroke, gets on top of the ball and has solid raw arm strength. Left handed hitter, hands tight to body with low set. Handsy, contact-oriented swing geared to take advantage of speed, shows some feel for barrel with line-drive swing path, could incorporate more lower-half into swing. Interesting athletic outfielder with projectable body, tools worth keeping an eye on. Good student.
