2015 Atlantic Coast Underclass Showcase
Josh Bowling is a 2018 OF/MIF with a 5-11 150 lb. frame from Greensboro, NC who attends Northwest Guilford. Medium frame with slender, athletic build throughout body and good projection remaining for continued growth. Posted a 7.02 seconds 60 yard dash time. Hits from very open stance, inside-out approach, doesn't shift weight into contact, swing has some natural loft, showed good hands with solid path to ball, made consistent sprayed line drive contact. Worked out defensively in the outfield. Moves well to the ball with fluidity and athleticism, fields cleanly and works through the ball well, shows compact, short arm action with quick release, throwing an impressive 84 MPH from the outfield with online accuracy to both 3B and home. Very good student.
