Jordan Fay is a 2019 RHP/3B, OF with a 5-10 200 lb. frame from Waxahachie, TX who attends Waxahachie HS. Physical frame and strong overall build with broad shoulders and a strong lower half. Primary righthanded pitcher with a good tempo and compact delivery. Throws with intent and works to the bottom of the strike zone. Over the top arm action creates good downhill angle on the fastball. Locates to both sides of the plate and gets very good extension. Has been up to 86 mph in the past with some life to the fastball. Curveball is tight with 11/5 shape and some depth as well. Fastball flashes some arm side run and the changeup looked good in limited viewings. Changeup is an equalizer against lefthanded hitters and he should throw it more often. Righthanded hitter with an upright, even stance. High hand set with a high back elbow and a very simple trigger into the swing. Direct path to contact and a slightly lofted plane. Present bat speed with a ton of strength through the point of contact. Turns the barrel well and can drive the ball well to the pull side hap. Good feel for the barrel and stays on plane well. Short swing with a consistent, repeatable swing. Named to the 2017 South Underclass Showcase Top Prospect List.
