Carter McGonigal is a 2020 RHP/OF with a 5-9 170 lb. frame from Sarasota, FL who attends Sarasota HS. Recorded a 7.64 second 60-yard dash time. Medium frame with an athletic build and room for additional strength. Primary righthanded pitcher with a big rocker step into a leg lift above the belt. Short arm action with a high three-quarters to over the top arm slot. Fastball topped at 79 mph with some cutting action. Curveball has 12/6 depth and mixed in a straight changeup that he got whiffs with. Arm strength plays from secondary position of the outfield. Righthanded hitter with a high hand set, high back elbow, and a hanging leg lift trigger. Good bat speed with a short, line drive stroke. stays on the backside with some strength to the middle of the field. Handles the barrel nicely. Good student.
