Nick Lord is a 2015 SS/RHP, 3B with a 6-1 155 lb. frame from Scottsdale, AZ who attends Desert Mountain. Large frame, long lanky build. Primary position player who showed good two-way ability and has as much if not more potential on the mound. Pitches from a high three quarters arm slot with a compact arm action. Can improve mechanical efficiency and fluidity to create more velocity, length of levers give potential for creating severe downhill leverage to drive the ball downhill well. Generating low 80s velocity with inefficient mechanics and a long lanky young build suggests that with refinement and development he could eventually throw much harder. Long rotational swing with a pull approach at the plate. Short arm action on infield throws with a rushed release. Good student.
