Zachry Hanlan is a 2019 OF/C, 1B, 3B with a 5-10 200 lb. frame from St. Joseph, MO who attends Central. Medium frame with broad shoulders and present strength. Primary outfielder with a clean footwork while closing to and working through the baseball. Smooth paced actions while funneling the baseball and working through exchange. Deep arm stab at take back and released from a high three-quarters slot. Throws produced accurate carry to the bag topping at 78 miles per hour. Also worked out defensively from behind the plate showing an even, low stance while receiving the baseball. Gains ground while working out of crouch with loose, smooth footwork. Worked through exchange efficiently and released from a compact three-quarters slot. Topped at 74 miles per hour, best workout pop time of 2.08. Right handed hitter with an upright, open stance and large leg lift trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Loose, extended hand path to contact with a lifted plane through extension. Flashed present bat speed with strength while employing a gap to gap approach. Ball jumped off the barrel with authority producing loud carry to each gap. Excellent student. Named to the 2017 Midwest Underclass Showcase, Top Prospect List.
