Thomas Palazzotto is a 2020 LHP/1B/OF with a 5-6 135 lb. frame from Brooklyn, NY who attends Xaverian HS. Small build, compact frame with plenty of room to grow and get stronger. Ran a 7.59 second 60 yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, simple side step delivery, leg lift above belt, clean hand separation, short arm action to a high ¾ slot, pretty quick arm that works well with some effort at release, mostly online and in rhythm but has a tendency to cut himself off with the lower third causing the arm to drag, crafty lefty attacking hitters. Four pitch mix, fastball is mostly straight but showed occasional sink topping out at 79 mph, curveball has 12-to-6 shape that needs developing, slider has short break, straight changeup with deception that he located best of all off speed and should likely use more often, filled up the zone in the lower third living away to righthanded hitters. Also took reps in the outfield, funnels ball into body, short transfer, average arm strength with online carry. Lefthanded hitter, short compact swing, good weight transfer, slight lift in the swing, shows some feel for the barrel, aggressive line drive approach, needs to get stronger for more consistent pop off of the barrel. Good student.
