2015 National Underclass Showcase-Main Event
Collin Price is a 2018 C/SS/3B with a 6-3 165 lb. frame from Suwanee, GA who attends Lambert HS. Large frame, slender built with long limbs and plenty of room to fill out at physical maturity. Worked out at catcher at this event, popped as low as 2.06 seconds and was up to 72 mph in defensive drills. Has a quick release and transfer, could gain more ground and explode more consistently with lower half, throws were accurate and on-time to the bases. Right handed hitter, slight knee bend setup with hands at shoulders. Level, line-drive swing plane, likes to use the entire field and shows ability to keep hands inside the ball. Flashes extension and some carry and leverage when working the pullside. Has some hitting tools to work with. Excellent student.
