Andrew Trayer is a 2021 RHP/MIF with a 5-11 175 lb. frame from Sinking Spring, PA who attends Wilson. Recorded a 7.75 second sixty-yard dash time. Large, athletic frame with long levers and room to physically mature. Primary right-handed pitcher with slow, deliberate delivery with efficient movements into balance and good lower half engagement down the mound. Works higher three-quarters arm slot, long and loose arm circle on the backside and rotational upper-half that occasional flies open. Fastball worked in the mid-80s for the duration of his outing, topping out at 87 miles per hour and flashing real arm-side life through the zone. Has ability to command both sides of the plate with full arsenal of pitches, mixing in a tight two-plane curveball with depth and late tilt. Stays away from the barrel with well replicated changeup that flashes above average depth and arm-side fade. Secondary middle infielder with a developing defensive skill set; uses segmented actions into and through the fielding process with an elongated arm action. Recorded accurate throws up to 81 MPH across the diamond. Right-handed hitter, hits from a slight open stance, using high hands and minimal weight shift into contact. Downward swing path with middle-of-the field approach and developing feel for his barrel. Grooved stroke with some leverage out in front, loose hands at point of contact and the chance to improve with proper swing adjustments. Higher upside on the mound currently with potential for more velocity with added strength. Excellent Student. Named to the 2020 Perfect Game National Uncommitted Showcase Top Prospect List.
