2005 South Top Prospect Showcase
Wuntch is a 5-11, 195 lb right handed pitcher from Houston with a solid athletic build. He throws from a full body turn delivery with a mid to low 3/4's release point. His fastball topped out at 80 mph and he pitched in the mid-70's. Wuntch threw a complete assortment of secondary pitches, including a 61 mph curveball, 68 mph slider and 63 mph change up. Overall, Wuntch probably showed as much ability as a hitter at the showcase. He has an aggressive approach at the plate and uses his strength well to generate bat speed. He made solid line drive contact in the games and had confident actions at the plate and on defense at third base.
