Ethan Rice is a 2018 OF/ with a 6-0 180 lb. frame from Chauncey, GA who attends Dodge County. Medium frame with a lean, athletic build. Projects for additional strength. Ran a 7.15 sixty-yard dash. Primary outfielder with smooth paced footwork while closing to the baseball. Clean glove actions while funneling and working through exchange. Baseball came out of hand quickly generating accuracy, on line carry to the bag topping at 79 miles per hour. Left handed hitter with an upright, slightly open stance and simple front side trigger. Works to contact with rotational lower half actions. Simple, direct hand path to contact with a line drive barrel plane through extension. Stayed balanced throughout with good fluidity to finish. Flashed some bat speed and strength at contact when turning the barrel and working to pull side. Consistently squared out contact throughout batting practice creating sharp, line drive contact. Good student as well.
