Gary "Evan" Jarvis is a 2017 2B/OF with a 5-10 180 lb. frame from Cypress, TX who attends Concordia Lutheran HS. Has a medium frame and a strong build. From the infield, showed solid footwork and movements to the baseball with solid mechanics. Displayed compact arm action with quick releases into throws with arm strength up to 81 mph on throws across. At the plate, right-handed hitter that starts with a squared to slight closed stance and high back elbow. Showed good hand separation into load with a middle of the field approach. Uses a contact appraoch with consistent barrel skills, adjusts well to pitches regardless of location. Has good aggression and flashes ability to drive the baseball. Good student.
