Ryan Rodriguez is a 2017 SS/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Edinburg, TX who attends Robert Vela HS. Medium athletic build, has some present strength. Right handed hitter, rotational approach but stays directional well and will only occasionally pull his front side too early, swings hard and has some bat speed, aggressive hitter who finds the barrel well especially on the middle in, solid line drive contact. 7.17 runner, stays low through the ball and shows some range, hand position fielding not consistent yet, makes accurate throws with developing arm strength, might be best suited for second base in the future. Excellent student.
