Christian Waltman is a 2017 C with a 6-0 175 lb. frame from Semmes, AL who attends Faith Academy. Big strong frame with an athletic build. 7.58 runner. Defensively, gains solid ground and has a quick release and transfer. Explodes through to second base well. Tendency to stand up. Solid arm strength and accuracy, getting up to 79 MPH. At the plate, starts with a slightly open stance and a wrapped bat. Has medium to high leg kick with good weight transfer from the backside. Stays inside the baseball, showed ability to barrel up balls. Looks to shoot ball back up the middle. Can get over aggressive at times. Projects well. Good student.
