Danny San Pedro is a 2018 RHP with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Miami, FL who attends Florida Christian HS. Large, athletic frame with broad shoulders and a long, projectable build with room to fill throughout body. Primary righthanded pitcher, hip turn at top of delivery and brings arm back at start working to a three-quarters arm slot. Does a nice job of staying on line through drive and consistently worked on top of ball, generate nice plane to fastball. Topped out at 84 mph and showed short sinking life down in the zone. Projects for more velocity with additional lower half, filled up zone with fastball and held velocity well, showed comfort working to glove side. Repeats mechanics, curveball developed well throughout time on mound, showed 12-6 shape with short depth, occasionally got under the pitch. Turned over a changeup nicely at 77 mph, maintained arm speed and action on pitch with short fading life. Good student.
