Tyler Henning is a 2016 1B/LHP with a 6-2 175 lb. frame from Parrish, FL who attends Palmetto HS. Large frame, broad shouldered with long limbs, lean build has plenty of room to fill out. Left handed hitter, wide base set up, deep hand load. Sweeping swing plane, stays long through the ball and flashes ability to get extended. Predominately stays inside the baseball, shows feel for using barrel, working to middle of the field. Solid defensively at first base, bends well and gets into good fielding position. Has smooth hands, transfer, accurate arm across the diamond. Also pitches, stays tall and balanced throughout delivery. Works to an overhand arm slot, fastball up to 74 mph, could get more consistently extended with better lower half drive in throwing mechanics. Very good student.
