Jake Friedman is a 2018 RHP/ with a 6-1 195 lb. frame from Fanwood, NJ who attends Scotch Plains Fanwood. Large frame with athletic present build; good projection remaining. Ran 60 yard dash in 7.26 seconds. Primary righthanded pitcher; smooth delivery that stays online through release, will spin off a bit over front side at times, compact arm stroke to high three quarters slot. Throws easy with little effort, fastball worked 82-84 mph with good arm side run; looseness and repeatability to arm and delivery. Fastball is heavy and tough to life. Showed curveball with 11/5 shape and tight, late bite; also worked in slider with short, sharp break. Good command of three pitch arsenal, consistently threw strikes and mix/matched well, challenged hitters. Very good student; named to 2017 Northeast Top Prospect Showcase Top Prospect List.
