Devon Born is a 2018 OF/2B with a 5-9 150 lb. frame from Woodstock, GA who attends North Paulding HS. Medium frame, compact-athletic build with some present strength. Worked out exclusively in the outfield for drills, charges the ball well and shows solid footwork in coming through the ball. Smooth transfer, exchange with quick release, solid and accurate throws to bases. Right handed hitter, low hands set with even stance. Small timing inconsistencies with lower half and load, when on time and in rhythm, shows ability to handle the barrel. Has comfort in using the middle of the field with approach, developing bat speed and strength, has hitting tools to continue improving with maturity, additional repetitions, experience. Good student.
