Austin Becker is a 2018 RHP/SS with a 6-6 185 lb. frame from Sunbury, OH who attends Big Walnut HS. Very projectable build with long arms and legs, has athletic actions on the mound. Creates big plane and angle to the plate with good extension out front. Low 90's fastball, topped out at 94 mph, have seen up to 96 in the past, gets nice life down low. Not consistent yet on his curveball release, will flash plus at times with 11/5 depth and very tight spin, will also slow his arm at times and aim the pitch. Huge potential as he matures physically and gains more consistency in his mechanics. Good student, verbal commitment to Vanderbilt. Selected for the 2017 Perfect Game All-American Classic.
