2016 Atlantic Coast Top Prospect Showcase
Matt Muir is a 2018 SS/OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from South Easton, MA who attends Oliver Ames High School. Medium build and frame, athleticism, and room to continue to fill out physically and add strength. Posted a 7.17 time in the 60 yard dash. Primary infielder, showed clean actions to back hand, clean release and transfer, and raw arm strength across the diamond. At the plate, started with a slightly open stance, high hand set, high back elbow, and a big leg lift timing mechanism. Linear swing path, limited lower half in swing, and raw feel for barrel timing. Would improve contact with additional rhythm and timing in swing. Outstanding student.
