Ran a 7.23 sixty yard dash. Primary catcher, shows a higher position while setting up to receive. Gains ground to the bag well with quick, fundamental footwork. Clean, effiecent glove to hand exchanges while working through transition. Weight fades to third base at times but is able to created good downhill angle and momentum to the bag at release. Creates some lower half shift into contact. Flashed solid hand quickness through the zone with a line drive swing plane. Primarily used a mid-field approach but has the barrel skills to work the baseball to opposite field as well. Good strength at contact when working to the middle of the field with occasional jump off the barrel. Also pitched showing a wide set lower half into a side step delivery. Shorter arm circle back at separation and releases from a compact, high three-quarters arm slot. Tends to show the baseball early at separation before driving to the plate. Stays on line and balanced well through extension. Fastball has occasional sinking action down in the zone sitting in the mid 70's, topped at 78 mph. Curveball has 12/6 shape with tight spin and good depth. Developing command of both fastball and curveball, but was able to effectively fill the zone and produce soft contact. Good two way prospect that will continue to improve with physical maturity. Very good student as well.
