Riki Urata is a 2016 SS/2B with a 6-1 165 lb. frame from San Mateo, CA who attends Hillsdale. Urata has a medium sized frame with a lean build. Defensively he has solid footwork to the baseball with solid actions through the baseball. Urata has some athletic looseness to his actions with good hands and clean transfers. He has some arm strength up to 76 MPH. At the plate, Urata starts with a high hand set with his hands away from his body. He uses an Ichiro style dive with his lower half and has a bat wrap. Urata has an inside path to the baseball and brings his hands to his shoulder at load. He has some bat speed with line drive pop. Outstanding student.
