Younger player with a large frame, compact lower half, athleticism and room to add physical strength. Primary catcher, gained ground well, ability to throw from knees, very accurate to bag, and a strong arm up to 76 mph. Posted a top workout pop time of 1.99. At the plate, started with a wide base, high hand set, and high back elbow. Works up to the ball, showed quickness to his hands, with a tall finish. Simple load and stride with strength at the point of contact. Consistency with timing would improve contact. Secondary right handed pitcher, but graded out better on the mound. Pitched with a long, loose arm action, high three quarter arm slot, online delivery, and good arm speed. Fastball showed good arm side life through the zone at 86-89 mph. Lets lower half get downhill with finish through the ball and keeps hitters off balance well. Showed sharp, late breaking curveball with 11/5 shape and threw it for strikes. Also showed a changeup with replicated arm speed and late sink and fade. Very good student.
