Mason Tomchesson is a 2019 C/RHP/OF with a 5-11 170 lb. frame from Spring, TX who attends Klein Collins HS. Recorded a 7.00 second 60-yard dash time. Lean, projectable frame with broad shoulders and lots of room for additional physicality. Primary catcher with a clean, short arm stroke and quick feet. Bit of a short strider but has raw arm strength and smooth hands. Best recorded pop time of 1.97 seconds to the bag and a best recorded velocity of 72 mph from the backstop. Righthanded hitter with a balanced, straight stance and a longer swing path. Bat starts wrapped to create bat speed through contact. Consistent and repeatable swing plane and works to the middle of the field well. Polished hitter with flashes of raw strength and power to pull. Good student.
