Collin McCulligh is a 2017 RHP/OF with a 5-9 145 lb. frame from Jackson, NJ who attends Jackson Memorial. Young, athletic build with a lean, projectable build and room to fill out with additional strength. Ran a 7.54 60-yard dash. Primary right-handed pitcher, throws from a high three-quarter slot with a long arm action coming through the backside. Incorporates lower half well into delivery and drives toward the plate, shows arm speed coming through, topped at 75 mph with fastball. Pitches mostly off fastball, has feel for 11-5 curveball with nice rotation and short depth, filled up the zone with both and missed bats with curveball. Quick transfer and release from outfield, short steps to the ball with a short arm action and carry on throws. Accurate and works behind the ball well. Right-handed hitter, line drive swing plane with line drive contact to all fields. Consistent feel for the barrel, middle of field approach with simple mechanics and a high finish. Good student.
