Raul Mendoza is a 2017 1B/3B with a 6-1 290 lb. frame from Hotchkiss, CO who attends Hotchkiss HS. Extra large build. Moves surprisingly well for his size at first base on defense, has soft and sure hands and made a number of good plays during the games. Right handed hitter, long rotational swing, can impact fastballs and change ups up in the zone but not as much with off speed and pitches away, has the strength to drive the ball when squared up. Good student.
