Jacob Ott is a 2017 1B/3B, RHP with a 6-4 274 lb. frame from Lindenwold, NJ. Extra-large, athletic build with broad shoulders and nice present strength throughout frame. Primary first baseman, shows good footwork and a quick pivot off the first base bag. Long arm action, collects well behind the ball and fields the ball out front, gets on top of throws with arm strength that will continue to develop. Also pitched, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot with a short arm action through the backside. Small hip turn at top of delivery, uses legs well to drive towards the plate. Works exclusively out of the stretch, fastball topped at 72 mph with a feel for a 12-6 curveball with nice depth. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set with a small stride moving into contact. Longer path with nice balance through swing, creates line drive contact and shows the feel to hit to all fields. Best strength is to pull side and generates lift at contact.
