Brandon Hoskins is a 2016 OF/RHP with a 6-1 160 lb. frame from Freeport, NY who attends Baldwin Senior. Large, athletic frame with long limbs and a lean, projectable build with room to get stronger. Ran a 7.09 60-yard dash. Primary outfielder, fields the ball well out front, big crow hop at release before showing a loose and easy arm action, comes out of clean with nice strength and carry, extension out front and uses lower half well. Also pitched, throws from a high three-quarter arm slot and shows pitchability with command of four pitches. Topped at 77 mph with fastball with cutting life, quick arm, does a nice job of staying on top of curveball. Right-handed hitter, starts with a high hand set and patient approach at the plate. Line drive swing plane with a short stroke to ball, upper body swing, uses hands well in swing, will show hard line drive contact off barrel and has ability to go to opposite field. Loose and athletic swing. Very good student.
