Richie Schiekofer is a 2017 OF with a 5-11 165 lb. frame from Millburn, NJ who attends Millburn HS. Schiekofer has a medium sized frame with long limbs and room to fill. Defensively he throws with a shorter arm action with arm strength up 81 MPH. Schiekofer has solid outfield actions with clean transfers. He has an upright finish and can get more use from his glove side on his throws. At the plate, Schiekofer starts with a narrow stance and a high back elbow. He swings on a line drive plane and has some bat speed. Schiekofer has a gap approach and made consistent barrel contact in BP. He stayed inside the baseball well and made solid contact to the pull side. Good student, named to Top Prospect Team.
