Kasen Anzelc is a 2017 LHP/OF with a 5-10 160 lb. frame from Medina, OH who attends Walsh Jesuit. Medium frame, lean angular build with broad shoulders, solid athleticism and overall body control. Ran a 6.89 60-yard dash. Primary lefthanded pitcher, leg lift above the belt out of the windup, large body turn at height of lift, presents numbers on backside of jersey to hitter and works to a high 3/4's arm slot. Some deception, hides the ball well. Solid armspeed, fastball up to 79 mph with good angle and downhill plane, gets on hitters quickly. Can spin over frontside, but when upper half and lower body are on time he is able to locate curveball for called strikes, offering has good depth. Also flashes an occasional changeup. Plays the outfield, aggressive charge to the ball, has long, loose arm-action and shows good arm strength. Left handed hitter, hands tight to the body, nice easy load with good weight transfer. Flashes good hand quickness, solid bat speed and likes to get extended, drive balls to the pullside. Solid potential on both sides of the ball. Very good student.
