Zach Philbin is a 2017 LHP with a 6-3 205 lb. frame from Omaha, NE who attends Creighton Prep. Big broad chested build. Slow paced back turn delivery, hides the ball well behind his body, pause at the top then late acceleration to the plate, has some deception, 3/4's arm slot with a fairly low effort release. Fastball topped out at 82 mph, mostly straight with occasional arm side running life. Primary fastball pitcher this outing. Rare short breaking slider with fair spin, will need to use this pitch more often. Left handed hitter, aggressive uphill swing, looking to pull and lift the ball.
