Gustavo Rodriguez is a 2018 OF with a 6-2 180 lb. frame from Santo Domingo, DR who attends Cenapec HS. Long and slender athletic build, lots of room to fill out and get stronger. 7.14 in the sixty, has run down to 6.78 at past PG events. Moves through the ball very well in the outfield and gets big momentum into his throws, accurate and strong throws with plus carry and outstanding raw arm strength, very athletic overall actions defensively. Right handed hitter, tall open stance, long and loose full swing with good bat speed and whip to the barrel, lots of extension and the ball carries off the barrel, still learning to recognize and adjust to spin but has offensive tools to harness as he gets stronger. Good student.
