Benny Casillas is a 2019 SS/RHP/2B with a 6-1 170 lb. frame from Culver City, CA who attends El Segundo HS. Loose and projectable square shouldered build. Right handed hitter, loose swing from an open stance, fluid swing with good bat speed, hits the ball out front and looks to drive it, pull side contact, swung the bat well in games and showed his power potential. 6.96 runner, aggressive on the bases. Has good soft hands on defense, can make the play on the move and make accurate throws with good arm strength. Also pitched, full and loose arm action, fastball topped out at 78 mph with some running life, short breaking curveball with some bite to it. Good overall athlete who should keep improving in all areas. Good student.
